The Karcher RCV 5 Robot Vacuum Cleaner efficiently and systematically cleans both hard floors and low-pile carpets. It collects dry dirt using a rotating brush, a side brush for edges, and a fan, directing debris into its built-in waste container. An ultrasonic sensor detects carpets, activating the Auto Boost function for deeper cleaning when necessary. In addition to vacuuming, the RCV 5 can also perform wet mopping while automatically avoiding carpets in this mode.
Using LiDAR technology, the robot maps out rooms and allows users to customize cleaning settings via an app. Specific rooms can be selected for vacuuming, mopping, or exclusion from cleaning altogether. Its dual-laser system with a camera enables it to recognize and avoid small or flat obstacles such as cables, socks, or shoes. Additional sensors prevent it from falling off edges or stairs. The vacuum can be controlled through the app, a preset schedule, or by pressing a button on the device. Voice output provides important status updates and notifications.
